The Namibian government on Monday officially launched an online platform for visa-on-arrival.
Minister of home affairs, immigration, safety and security Albert Kawana said the initiative is a step forward in the government’s ongoing commitment to enhancing border efficiency and streamlining immigration processes.
“This initiative represents the latest in our series of progressive measures to boost the country’s tourism sector, improve international engagement, and uphold our national security,” Kawana said.
He said the ministry has continuously sought ways to enhance the visa experience for international guests, and that they have expanded the visa-on-arrival facilities to include a number of strategic entry points.
“Today, visas-on-arrival are available at major border and entry points, including Hosea Kutako International Airport and Walvis Bay International Airport, Katima Mulilo, Ngoma, Impalila Island, [as well as the] Trans-Kalahari, Oshikango Mohembo, Ariamsvlei, Noordoewer, and Oranjemund border posts,” Kawana said.
