NAMIBIA will on Saturday kick-start its preparations for the International Rugby Board (IRB) Nations Cup slated for Romania from June 4 to 22 this year.
The Namibia Rugby Union (NRU) on Tuesday called up over 80 players to report for national trials at the Hage Geingob Stadium on Saturday.
In a media statement issued on Tuesday, the NRU said players who do not attend trials will not be in the final team to Romania.
However, players who have sustained injuries should submit a medical certificate if they cannot attend trials.The players called up for trials should be at the field at 11h00.
In the 2008 IRB Nations Cup played in Romania, Namibia won only one match out of four played during the tournament. The South African A-team are the defending champions.
