South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) presenter Leanne Manas has compared Namibia to Iceland, describing it as “the same awe, just in the most magnificent, sun-drenched opposite way”.
Sharing her travel experience on social media, Manas said visiting Namibia had exceeded her expectations.
“Namibia has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember and, oh my goodness, it’s surpassed every expectation and then some,” she wrote.
She highlighted the country’s landscape, people, affordability and untouched natural beauty, saying no photograph could truly capture its essence.
Manas posted several images from Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, including the route to the scenic Sandwich Harbour and the pink salt pans along the coast.
“It’s a place where the desert rolls effortlessly into the Atlantic Ocean, the beach shimmers with crushed gemstones, and pink flamingo feathers dance in the soft breeze drifting from the Namib Desert,” she remarked.
