Namcor dismisses claims of forced resignations

The National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) has refuted social media reports suggesting that five of its employees were forced to resign.

The company says the departures were voluntary and not linked to any internal investigations.

In a statement, Namcor says Damoline Muruko, Ilda Dos Santos, Isabel Mwazi, Mapenzie Festus, and Khonzani Tizora made independent career decisions to pursue new opportunities after years of dedicated service to the company.

“We want to make it clear that their resignations were not the result of any investigations, malpractices, or business transactions, nor were they compelled to leave the company,” Namcor says.

The corporation thanks the five for their service to both Namcor and the petroleum industry.

“We urge all stakeholders to rely on factual information, avoid speculation, and refrain from making or spreading unfounded accusations that could harm the reputations of the individuals involved,” the company adds.
