The Namibian Police on Wednesday issued a N$20 000 reward for any information that could lead to the capture of Nico Rebebe (30).
Rebebe is wanted by the police after he allegedly stole an amount from Bank Windhoek at Opuwo that resulted in a potential loss of almost N$2 million to the bank.
“The potential loss is less than N$2 million thanks to vigilant staff action and robust systems and controls within Bank Windhoek.
“No customer funds have been affected in any way by this incident,” Bank Windhoek managing director Baronice Hans has said.
The Namibian spoke to investigating officer deputy commissioner Paavo Iyambo on Wednesday, who said there has been no new development in the case.
