MyDStv Enhances Self-Service

More companies are expanding their services to apps because they’ve realised that more people are using mobiles to access information.

The Multichoice Africa group is one such company. Not too long ago, the company released DStv Now, an app that works similarly to Netflix.

You simply stream content from your phone, as long as you have a good internet connection. Now, the brand is going even further thanks to the MyDStv app, which allows you to fully take control of your viewing experience. Here’s how it works:

Ever had trouble finding out how much was on your account and didn’t feel like going to the head office or calling up the Multichoice team? That has changed. MyDStv tells you how much money you owe and how many viewing days you have left. Also, if you ever lose your Smartcard, you can easily recover its number by entering your personal information.

Often, there are errors that appear that you can’t explain. This could be when it rains or a technical issue comes out of nowhere and you’re not sure what to do. The MyDStv app provides a way for you to search for solutions based on your error code. And you don’t have to log in with your details to use this function, which is a plus. Just remember to have your Smartcard inserted and your decoder powered on.

It’s always a task taking control of your account, but this new way to manage how DStv works on a personal level is more convenient than ever before. A feature that we love is being able to downgrade or upgrade your subscription. Other features include managing and updating your personal info, renting movies and viewing your payment history.

Much like DStv Now, you are also able to make payments for the other platforms you use like ShowMax or BoxOffice.

A variety of content is available through MyDStv and the best part is that it’s free for download on both the App Store and Google Play.
