INSPIRATION can come from as far is Ghana. In this week’s My Career, The Namibian’s Walter Kariko (WK) chats to Ghanaian MC and marketing guru Kwesi Pratt Yamoah (KPY), better known as Myster Pratt, about building his brand…

WK: Who is Kwesi Pratt Yamoah above and beyond the known professional?

I obtained my bachelor’s degree from the University of Ghana and my master’s degree from Webster University, St Louis, USA. I hail from the central region of Ghana. In 2020, I won the best events MC in Ghana award at the Ghana Events Industry Conference Awards.

WK: You are one of Ghana’s biggest household names in the creative and entertainment industry, and a brand in your own right. What do you exactly do?

KPY: I am an award-winning master of ceremony, who has hosted over 700 events spanning across Accra, Lagos, Kigali, Paris, Lisbon and Amsterdam.

WK: Where are you based?

KPY: In the capital city of Ghana, Accra.

WK: How do you manage your brand/business to stand out, what does it take?

KPY: The brand is very sensitive to the exact needs of clients. It pays very detailed attention to those needs to drive their unique position in the minds of clients and in the marketplace.
