A CELL tower owned by a mobile telecommunications company collapsed on Thursday night at Omagongati village in Ondangwa Rural constituency in Oshana region.
Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) spokesperson Erasmus Nekundi confirmed that the tower belongs to MTC. However, the company has not yet established what caused the tower to fall.
Nekundi added that he does not know when the tower would be re-erected.
Ondangwa Rural constituency councillor Kaushiweni Abraham said the tower fell on Thursday night, destroying electricity cables and a nearby fence.
