MTC on Tuesday announced a N$3 million sponsorship deal with the Namibia Volleyball Federation (NVF).
The sponsorship will see the national volleyball federation getting N$1 million per annum for the next three years towards the national league that has had no official sponsor for years.
MTC spokesperson Tim Ekandjo encouraged the NVF leadership to make prudent use of the funds and utilise it for the purposes it is intended for.
“Should there be any mismanagement of funds, we will not hesitate to terminate the sponsorship in a matter of seconds,” Ekandjo cautioned.
NVF president Hilarry Imbuwa (pictured) expressed his appreciation to MTC for coming to the aid of the sport code.
He said the NVF leadership is committed and driven to grow the sport and capacitate referees and officials to move the sport to a higher level.
“We have struggled over the years financially to grow the sport, but I promise to use the funds transparently and for the intended purpose,” Imbuwa said.
