SOUTH African activist and Mr Gay World 2021 winner Louw Breytenbach announced today that he will be stepping down from the role.
The announcement was made via his personal Instagram account.
Breytenbach, who attended Namibia’s pride march on Saturday, plans to focus on activism for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex and other community and mental health issues.
The author said, “unfortunately, my interests, goals and views on charities are not aligned with Mr Gay World as I had hoped”.
An official press release will follow shortly, he added.
