Motherhood Namibia, a Namibian organisation dedicated to supporting mothers, announced its annual ‘Moms Day Off’ event scheduled for 11 May, in a statement released on Monday.
“This year’s event features the inspiring presence of Basetsana Kumalo, a distinguished South African television personality, beauty pageant titleholder, businesswoman, and philanthropist,” the statement reads.
The event will feature United Nations resident coordinator for Namibia Hopolang Phororo as a guest speaker.
‘Made possible by our main sponsor, FNB Namibia, ‘Moms Day Off’ is a movement created by Motherhood Namibia in celebration of Mother’s Day, which serves to unite, support, and celebrate mothers from all walks of life, it says.
“This event is a chance for mothers to relax, unwind, and connect with like-minded women. We’ll be exploring the beauty and struggles of motherhood in a supportive environment, all while being inspired by the incredible Mrs Kumalo,” says Selma Bachler, the founder of Motherhood Namibia.
This year’s theme is ‘Imperfectly Perfect’, acknowledging the realities of motherhood.
