A woman (37) has been arrested for allegedly assisting her daughter to terminate her pregnancy at Outapi on Friday at about 19h00.
According to the crime report, it is alleged that the suspect assisted her 17-year-old daughter to terminate her one-month pregnancy.
It is further alleged that when the victim was taken to the hospital, the doctor discovered that the pregnancy was terminated, thus the victim was bleeding and upon further examination, the doctor found she had lost a lot of blood.
The victim is from a village in the Outapi constituency in the Omusati region.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
