WARSAW – A mortar bomb attack on Poland’s main military base in Iraq wounded two people yesterday, the Polish army said from its base in Babylon.

“Six incoming mortar grenades hit the base, wounding two people and damaging a building,” Lieutenant Colonel Artur Domanski, spokesman for the Babylon base, said by telephone.
