Since his last album, he has remained a calm but strong force in the increasingly popular and competitive music market, drawing fans from all walks of life.

Moritz, who hails from Walvis Bay, describes his musical journey as one that has taught him resilience and hard work throughout the years.

“Gospel music is a kind of African, motivational Christian music that has become a major part of most Namibians’ lives. As the industry grows it demands a lot from an artist in terms of creativity to capture audiences,” he said about his music.

The 14 track album brings out Moritz’s brilliant voice which greatly combines with his rich lyrics and soothing melodies that leave a strong impression on the mind and spirit, ‘Brand New Day’ marks another captivating creation from one of gospel’s most innovative talents.

The songs aim to help the listener to reflect spiritually, restore and empower. It is catchy and easy on the ear as it smooths away the troubles of the world with the inspirational messages on every track.

Claretha Skrywer, a local song bird who features on on track 10, adds quality to the album.

“With the release of my album I have received a great response from music lovers as my songs send a message many can relate to. Every song on the album has a message but for me, the song that stands out the most is track six, ‘Going Away’. It speaks of the realities of life and the things that happen in relationships. The song speaks to young people in relationships,” he said.

“I had a CD launch recently in Windhoek and will be touring around the country to introduce the album to people in the other parts of Namibia,”he said.
