The body of Deidre Meyer (48), who was reported missing at Walvis Bay on 14 April, was discovered on Friday.
According to Erongo police senior inspector Judith Shomongula, a man who went to pray on a mountain near Namib Naukluft Park came across Meyer’s body at around 11h00.
The body was found lying on the ground with a vehicle parked a few metres away.
“No foul play was suspected, as there was only a single foot track on the scene, and the deceased was found in possession of all her belongings.” said Shomongula
Meyer’s body was transported to the police mortuary for further investigation.
Deidre’s father Theodor Meyer last saw his daughter after she borrowed his vehicle to go to a Walvis Bay supermarket.
