Missing man’s body discovered at Walvis Bay

The body of Sheehama Matheus (24), who was reported missing at Walvis Bay late last month, was discovered by passers-by on Tuesday.

Erongo police spokesperson chief inspector Ileni Shapumba says Matheus’ body was found on shore at around 13h25, where it washed out behind the navy base in the area of Independence Beach.

Matheus’ body was positively identified by family members.

Five men were arrested by the Namibian Police at Walvis Bay last week after attacking Sheehama on Saturday, 27 July.

Sheehama went missing after the attack.
