Missing girls: Police look at laying ‘neglect’ charges

POLICE in the City of Windhoek are are considering whether to charge parents with neglect after two girls went missing on Thursday evening.

The two sisters – Sharon Audrey Voss (6) and Vivian (7) – of Petunia Street, Khomasdal – went missing between Bethlehem and Toggevonde at about 20h00 while they were with their mother and uncle. The two girls, both 1,10 metres tall, with dark brown hair and of brown complexion and slender build, were found by people who took them to the Police.Pastor JD Beukes of the Faith Reformed Baptist Church told The Namibian that the girls were handed over to the Police on Saturday and are being kept at a safe place while the Police conduct their investigation.He did not wish to explain why the Police had not handed over the children to their family.The two girls, both 1,10 metres tall, with dark brown hair and of brown complexion and slender build, were found by people who took them to the Police.
