Miss Namibia and Miss Teen 2025 entries open

Miss Namibia 2024, Prisca Anyolo

The Miss Namibia and Miss Teen Namibia 2025 pageants are now accepting entries.

Entry forms are available on the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) and Miss Namibia Pageant websites, or at the NBC head office radio centre and all NBC regional offices nationwide.

Miss Namibia Organisation chief executive Umbi Karuaihe-Upi says the pageants are empowering platforms for young Namibian women.

“I would like the girls to enter our prestigious competitions. As you can see, we provide the platforms as stepping stones for them to become anything they want to be.”

Reigning Miss Namibia Prisca Anyolo represented the country at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant in Mexico in September last year, while Elaine Engelbrecht is the current reigning Miss Teen Namibia.

The Miss Namibia Organisation has a rich history, having produced one Miss Universe. Michelle McLean was crowned Miss Universe 1992, becoming the first Namibian woman to win the title after being crowned Miss Namibia 1991. She was also the fourth runner-up at Miss World 1991.

“We provide opportunities for [contestants] to go on international stages to showcase their countries, cultures and themselves, helping them reach greater heights in their lives,” Karuaihe-Upi says.

Miss Teen Namibia 2023 Oriana Ribeiro represented the country at the Miss Teen International pageant in India in June last year. Apart from this, the top three contestants in the Miss Namibia pageant have an opportunity to represent Namibia on global stages such as the Miss Earth, Miss Charm and Miss World pageants.

Entry fees for the Miss Namibia application are N$500, while the Miss Teen Namibia application fee is N$400. All entries close on 28 February.
