Millennium Investment Holdings executive director Miguel Hamutenya has been appointed as the company’s chief executive officer with effect from the start of June, the company has announced.
Hamutenya has held different positions at Millenium Investment Holdings since 2016, and currently serves as the executive director of the group of companies.
Millennium Investment Holdings has a range of business interests, including in property development and management, financial services, minerals exploration and processing, fishing and food production, information and communication technology, oil and gas as well as marketing and advertising.
Hamutenya serves as a board member of various subsidiaries within the group.
He is also a regional executive manager of Validus Energy, an outfit owned jointly by Vitol and Millennium Power.
The company’s executive chairman, Mathews Hamutenya, said: “Together with the managing team we believe Miguel Hamutenya’s appointment as group CEO aligns with the company’s envisaged business model of breaking commercial barriers and always challenging ourselves to be at the forefront of business innovation.”
