LONDON – Tottenham Hotspur striker Mido has been cleared of a charge of improper conduct, the Football Association said yesterday.
The charge related to the 22-year-old Egyptian’s failure to leave the field promptly after being sent off for serious foul play, when he appeared to elbow Spaniard Asier Del Horno in the face during the 2-0 defeat by Chelsea on August 27. Tottenham claimed Mido had been wrongfully dismissed, but this was rejected by the FA and the striker is serving a three-match ban.- Nampa-ReutersTottenham claimed Mido had been wrongfully dismissed, but this was rejected by the FA and the striker is serving a three-match ban.- Nampa-Reuters
