Metro Fresh marks 10 years with cash competition

Namibian grocery chain Metro Fresh celebrated its 10th anniversary by awarding cash prizes to winners of a competition through its rewards programme on Friday in Windhoek.

The competition was open to all Metro Fresh reward card users, with eight winners receiving N$25 000 each.

Speaking during the event, Metro Fresh managing director Bryan Davis thanked customers for their continued support, adding that the company continues to focus on offering low prices and good customer service.

“We work hard every day to give our customers the best possible prices and service,” Davis said.

He also said the loyalty programme remains central to Metro Fresh’s strategy.

One of the winners, Justice Ochurub, expressed his excitement.

“The day I found out, I was very excited; I even cried,” he said.

Another winner, Victoria Shapange who was represented by her cousin Moses Nghifikwa, said the prize money will go towards supporting her family.

The company says it will continue to run similar promotions through its rewards
programme as part of giving back to its customers.
