Meatco appoints acting chief executive

The Meat Corporation of Namibia (Meatco) has appointed Hornest Madzivadondo as acting chief executive, effective 1 September.

His appointment will remain in place until an interim chief executive is officially appointed.

The announcement was made in an internal memo issued on Monday by Meatco board deputy chairperson Stephanie de Klerk.

This leadership change comes as Meatco enters advanced discussions with former Namibian ambassador to France, Albertus !Aochamub, who is being considered for the interim chief executive position.

!Aochamub confirmed to The Namibian on Sunday that he was scheduled to meet with the Meatco board on Monday to discuss the potential appointment.
