President Nangolo Mbumba is set to undertake a state visit to Botswana on Tuesday afternoon.
The president will be among delegates who will attend a two-day memorial service hosted by the Botswana government in honour of former president Hage Geingob, and is expected to deliver a tribute.
This was announced by the Presidency on Tuesday.
The visit will be Mbumba’s second state visit since taking office.
The president visited Angola last week.
This was confirmed by State House spokesperson Dennis Shikwambi.
The event is planned for 13 and 14 March in Gaborone, where a documentary called ‘The Geingob Footprint and Legacy’ will be screened.
Botswana’s president, Mokgweetsi Masisi, and Geingob shared a cordial friendship.
