Mbumba official portrait revealed

President Nangolo Mbumba’s official portrait has been revealed and is up in some offices, presidential spokesperson Alfredo Hengari says.

Some of the offices mentioned by Hengari include State House and the presidency.

“The portrait of the president is already up in some of offices. So there are no issues regarding the portrait of the president,” Hengari says.

The contract for Mbumba’s official portrait was given to the government-owned entity Namibia Press Agency (Nampa) this year.

There have been claims that there was a delay in the portrait being revealed.

Nampa chief executive Linus Chata refused to comment on the matter yesterday, saying The Namibian can publish the article without Nampa’s comment.

Executive director of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology Audrin Mathe says “we have no information to provide you”.
