Executive director of gender equality, poverty eradication and social welfare Martha Mbombo has retired.
Mbombo has been replaced by Nichlas Mbingeneeko, who filled the position on 1 June.
This was confirmed by ministry spokesperson Lukas Haufiku on Monday afternoon.
Mbombo, who was appointed at the Ministry of Gender Equality, Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare last March, was reappointed to the board of the Namibia Power Corporation (NamPower) in April this year.
Mbingeneeko was the director of administration and general services in the ministry prior to replacing Mbombo.
