A report published on 3 September 2024, titled ‘Phala Phala mastermind’s alleged helpers to sue Govt’, omitted from its headline that charges against Paulus Ngalangi related to this matter had been withdrawn. The media ombudsman’s ruling identified this omission in the headline as an inaccuracy. The ruling also found insufficient evidence of confirmed intent regarding the report’s statement that Ngalangi and his co-accused were threatening to sue the government. The Namibian clarifies that Ngalangi was considering his legal options. We regret the errors.
