In a report dated 29 January 2024, The Namibian incorrectly reported that the minister of higher education, technology and innovation, Itah Kandjii-Murangi, claimed N$22 800 from the of- fice of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) in Namibia. This is incorrect. The minister received travel allowances from the Namibia National Commis- sion for Unesco. The Namibian acknowledges this error and apologises to the Unesco office in Namibia for any inconvenience caused.
