ON Thursday last week in an article titled ‘Desperate Lüderitz residents drink from public toilets as prepaid water meters spark health crisis’, The Namibian quoted medical doctor Tomica Zarou stating “hepatitis A, vaginal infections, infection of the liver, fever, nausea and yellowing of the eyes and skin are all diseases that could come from contaminated water”. In fact, this was an autocorrect error that appeared in print instead of the intended and accurate “viral infections” from the doctor.
We apologise for the error and the inconvenience this may have caused.
