Matter of fact: Alweendo blasts oil entitled Namibians

A wrong impression may have arisen from our headline ‘Alweendo blasts oil entitled Namibians’ in yesterday’s edition. Mines minister Tom Alweendo told The Namibian that his “message was that Namibian business people wanting to participate in the local content must prepare themselves to play that role effectively. If not, the local content policy will not work. All what will happen is that you will have Namibians being fronted by international oil companies. It was not The Namibian’s intention to create the wrong impression.
