The Mariental community donated 37 pairs of schoolshoes and 45 pairs of schoolsocks to the 4×4 Shoe Drive 2025 campaign at Mariental in the Hardap region on Friday.
The donation will go towards the underprivileged pupils in the region.
Sidney Boois, the founder of the campaign, at the handover said: “Principals and life skills teachers from selected schools in vulnerable communities must identify the number of children in need of school shoes and provide the details to us.”
Hardap regional council chairperson Gershon Dausab encouraged other councillors to support the campaign.
The region, he said, accommodates between 27 000 and 28 000 pupils.
