Manxebe Teams Up With King Tee Dee

PINEHAS NAKAZIKO

After impressing his fans with the release of his third album earlier this year, emerging kwaito star Manxebe has again surprised with the release of a music video for ‘Feed Myself’.

He has teamed up with King Tee Dee, formerly known as The Dogg.

Manxebe’s third album is titled ‘BAE’, which, he says, stands for ‘best album ever’.

He describes the new music video as his best project thus far.

Manxebe has received praises from his fans on social media for bringing back King Tee Dee after the artist has not performed for some time.

“I called him for a collabo, and the good part is that he has been hearing my music here and there. So he didn’t refuse to be part of my music or music videos,” he says.

“King Tee Dee saw that I’m disciplined and hard-working, and this made it easier for him to work with me.”

The music video, which has thus far received more than 23 000 views on YouTube, was launched in Windhoek last Saturday.

It was shot by videographer Sodo, and directed by Mapeni and Top Cheri, with Cuti Cotton as stylist.

Manxebe says fans should expect more good music and events from him this year.

‘BAE’ continues to make its mark.

The 16-track album sees Manxebe collaborating with some of the biggest names in the local music industry, such as King Tee Dee, Top Cheri, Tate Buti, and Ethnix, while Andrew on the Beat produced the album.

Manxebe’s first album, ‘The Rebirth of Kwaito’, was released in 2018.

He says he has encountered many challenges, such as fellow musicians being envious of him.
