A man at Sikali village in the Kavango West region took his life over the weekend after it was discovered that he allegedly impregnated his niece.
Joseph Haingura Kanyetu (39) was called to be interrogated by his village headman and elders after allegedly impregnating his niece (27), who is also married.
Her husband reported the matter to the traditional authorities.
Kavango West regional police commissioner Julia Sakuwa-Neo has confirmed that Kanyetu took his life on Sunday.
He was taken to Rundu Intermediate State Hospital after the incident, where he died.
