Man shot and killed at Okongo

The police at Okongo are investigating the murder of a man who was found with multiple gunshot wounds on the right side of his neck.

According to a police report, the incident happened between 20H00 and 21H00 on Monday at Oshalumbu village, Okongo constituency in the Ohangwena region.

The deceased’s body was discovered the next day on the side of a road.

A shotgun is alleged to be the murder weapon.

The deceased, estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old, was wearing a navy trouser, a blue striped T-shirt layered over a white jersey, navy socks, flip-flops and a maroon beanie.

The suspect has not yet been identified and the body was taken to the Okongo State Mortuary for autopsy.

Police investigations in the matter continue.
