Man dies in suspected suicide at Otjiwarongo

A 51-year-old man is suspected to have ended his own life at the Tsaxara-Aibes area at Otjiwarongo on Saturday.

The Namibian Police’s head of community affairs in the Otjozondjupa region, senior inspector Maureen Mbeha, in an interview with Nampa on Saturday said family members of the man who died identified him as David Garab.

Mbeha said Garab’s wife found his body in his bedroom at about 07h00 on Saturday morning.

It appeared that he had ended his own life.

An autopsy is expected to be performed at Otjiwarongo State Hospital to determine the exact cause of Garab’s death, Mbeha said.

A police investigation into his death is continuing.
