A man (29), identified as Fidel Castro Hango, died in a fatal car crash at around 02h30 on Friday morning on the B1 road at the bridge close to Brakwater.
This was confirmed by Namibian police spokesperson chief inspector Elifas Kuwinga.
According to the police, Hango either accidentally or intentionally left the road at high speed and hit the centre pillar of the bridge separating the B1’s right and left lanes.
Kuwinga said Hango died instantly.
His next of kin have been informed of his death.
Police investigations continue.
