Man dies after crashing into truck

A man died after the car he was driving crashed into a broken-down truck on Tuesday afternoon near Seeis and the Hosea Kutako International Airport on Tuesday.

Police spokesperson Elifas Kuwinga confirmed the accident and said the car collided into the parked truck that had broken down, in a case of culpable homicide, at about 15h40 along the B6 road.

“It is alleged that a Botswana registration truck broke down on the B6 road. It is further alleged that a white sedan was driving from Windhoek in the Gobabis direction and crashed into the truck from behind, causing the death of the driver of the white sedan,” he said.

The deceased has been identified as Mwahafa Fabian, aged 35, a Namibian male from Omitara. His next of kin have been informed.

The truck driver is a 29-year-old Batswana national. Police
investigations are ongoing.
