Man arrested over stepdaughter’s rape

Among the seven cases of minors who were allegedly raped over the weekend, the police say it was discovered that a man (42) has allegedly been repeatedly raping his stepdaughter (15).

The weekend crime report details that the alleged rapes occurred between August and November at Gcamade in the Kavango West region.

The man has been arrested and police investigations continue.

Moreover, during the early hours of Friday, a man allegedly raped his ex-girlfriend (37) at Kudubis farm at Tubusis.

The report says the suspect is yet to be caught and police investigations continue.

Another minor (9) was raped at Otjomuise on Wednesday afternoon, which was reported on Friday.

“The suspect is the victim’s mother’s ex-boyfriend, and the incident was reported to the police by the victim’s biological father,” Shikwambi says.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Another minor (14) was raped at Uheke village in the Ohangwena region on Thursday, allegedly by a neighbour.

The suspect has not been arrested as he fled the scene, and police investigations are ongoing.

At Kum Kum farm in the Kavango West region, a teenager (17) was allegedly raped at home by a man (46).

Both the victim and suspect have been taken to the Karasburg State Hospital.

The suspect has been arrested and was to appear in the Karasburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Police investigations continue.

A man (23) allegedly raped a woman (19) at Oshitukafitu village in the Omusati region on Friday.

The suspect has been arrested and was to appear in the Outapi Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Two men allegedly raped a woman (31) at Dairy compound in the Zambezi region on Saturday.

One of the suspects (21), a Zambian man, has been arrested, while the other suspect is still at large.
