Man arrested over cocaine at Oshakati

A man (37) was arrested by the police at Oshakati after he was allegedly found in possession of cocaine on Friday.

Oshana police spokesperson chief inspector Thomas Aiyambo said the man was arrested after law-enforcement officers received information regarding a suspect selling and being in possession of cocaine.

He said the man had 106g of cocaine concealed between his legs at the time of his arrest.

Aiyambo said the confiscated cocaine is estimated to have a street value of N$53 000.

He said the suspect is Burundian and was expected to be charged on Saturday.

He will appear in the Oshakati Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
