Man arrested for killing sister in Ohangwena

A man allegedly killed his sister and mutilated her private parts, police in the Ohangwena region report.

The incident happened on Friday evening at the Okavela village.

According to the police, the suspect, who has been arrested after he fled the scene, was at home with his sister and cousin.

The cousin alleges he saw the suspect attacking his sister by hitting her with a pole on her head and all over her body.

“The cousin ran to the neighbour but returned to find she was already dead. She told police that the two had not argued prior to the incident,” reports Ohangwena police commissioner Bennet Muyambango.

The suspect is set to appear in the Eenhana Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
