A Namibian man (33) at Mayara in the Kavango West region was arrested on Tuesday over stolen goats.
Police chief inspector Raimbeth Muronga has confirmed the arrest.
The theft allegedly took place between 2023 and 2024 at Marema village.
“The suspect stole the goats from the kraal and slaughtered them without the owner’s consent,” Muronga says.
He says the suspect allegedly stole 16 goats valued at N$22 000.
No recovery has been made so far.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
