A man (61) has been arrested in connection with the death of a 70-year-old man at Etilyasa village in the Otamanzi constituency of the Omusati region on Friday evening.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 19h30 when the deceased and a witness were returning from a local cuca shop.
It is alleged that they encountered the suspect along the way, who reportedly provoked the deceased, leading to an altercation.
During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly struck the victim with an unknown object, and the victim later died.
The suspect, also a resident of Etilyasa village, was arrested and is expected to appear in court soon.
Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
