Independence Arena in Katutura will be the place to be for Ma /Gaisa music fans tomorrow night when New Image Consultants join hands with Ore-Aob Music Entertainment to stage the Ma /Gaisa Summer Festival.
Featuring some of the big stars of the genre, the festival promises to be a real spectacular with special appearances by velvet voiced Dixon and kwaito star Damara Dik Ding.Top performer Pule Benson from Walvis Bay, who put on quite a performance at this year’s Last Band Standing music competition will head the Ma /Gaisa line-up. Pule is known for his energetic and very powerful performances, and fans can look forward for another stellar act from this headliner. The country’s top Ma /Gaisa female singer Imelda will add her feminine wiles to the line-up, supported by the sweet voice of Emili. Imelda impressed crowds at a recent show featuring top class Ma /Gaisa artists at Club Fountain in Katutura. /Nam/Aedi Aokha and Kaniepie are the new kids on the Ma /Gaisa music scene. Although not as popular as Pule yet, these young men’s songs have been some of the most requested on NBC’s Damara-Nama radio station.Anyone who has seen Dixon and Damara Dik Ding on stage are well aware of the high octane performances they are capable of dishing out.
