Leader of the National Democratic Party (NDP) Martin Lukato said he remains hopeful to win a seat in the National Assembly, despite the low votes received by the NDP thus far.
Lukato, who expressed optimism and patience as the election results continue to trickle in, told The Namibian on Tuesday that he is prepared to serve the nation.
“If God will lead me to the house, then I will do more than when I was outside the house … [the electorate’s] votes will lead me to enter the parliament,” he said.
Lukato added that he is prepared to wait patiently until the finalisation of the outcome of the results.
“Let me appreciate the Namibian people – those who have voted for me and for the NDP,” he said.
