Lover said to kill mother of six

A woman in her mid-thirties and the mother of six children was allegedly killed by her partner at Okombahe in the Dâures constituency on Saturday.

The Erongo police say the man allegedly struck Beverly /Nanus on the head with a brick or stone.

The incident allegedly took place at /Nanus’ mother’s house, where the couple stays.

Sources claim neighbours discovered /Nanus’ boyfriend cleaning up blood at the scene before fleeing.

Reports suggest the couple had a history of domestic violence, with /Nanus reportedly withdrawing a previous case against the suspect a few weeks ago.

The couple has a three-year-old child together.

Chief inspector Ileni Shapumba says: “Our investigation teams are seized with the matter.”

/Nanus’ next of kin have been informed of the incident.

Her death comes two weeks after another woman was allegedly killed by her husband in Windhoek.

Helen Onesmus was laid to rest at Lüderitz on Saturday.
