Love is in the Air, and in the Frames

Gondwana Collection Namibia is running a competition in anticipation of the month of love slowly approaching. Whether you’re newly smitten, celebrating decades together or somewhere in between, Gondwana Collection is calling on all couples to capture their moments of joy and passion.

With the ‘Kiss of the Year’ competition, which has been running from 9 December 2024 to 31 January 2025, couples have a chance to showcase their bond against Namibia’s breathtaking backdrops, while creating memorable moments within Gondwana’s iconic red heart frames.

The competition’s tagline, ‘With Gondwana, every day is Valentine’s Day’, encapsulates its ethos of celebrating love as a unifying force. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, the campaign encourages people to embrace Gondwana’s spirit of romance, adventure and community.

How to Enter

Participation is simple! Couples are invited to:

1. • Take a photo of a kiss in one of Gondwana Collection’s heart frames. These frames, part of the ‘Hearts Across Horizons’ initiative, can be found at all Gondwana properties and other locations, like Windhoek.
2. •Share the photo on social media platforms (X, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram), ensuring they tag @Gondwana Collection and use the hashtags #lovefromgondwana and #kissgondwanalodges.

How Winners Are Chosen

Winning couples will be determined based on the social media engagement (likes) their photos receive. The top three couples will be announced on 7 February 2025, giving them time to plan an unforgettable Valentine’s Day celebration with Gondwana Collection, subject to availability.

Prizes that Celebrate Love and Adventure

• • First Prize: A one-night all-inclusive stay at any Secret Collection Property (excluding The Pearls Swakopmund and The Weinberg Urban Pod), plus a two-night dinner, bed and breakfast (DBB) stay at any lodge from other collections (namely premium plus, premium, comfort, experience or adventure collection).
• • Second Prize: A three-night DBB stay at any Premium Collection Lodge (excluding Klein-Aus Vista Eagle’s Nest Chalets and Okapuka Safari Lodge).
• • Third Prize: A two-night DBB stay at any Comfort Collection Lodge (excluding Klein-Aus Vista Desert Horse Inn).

This competition is part of Gondwana’s ‘Hearts Across Horizons’ project, an initiative inspired by the Gondwana Care Trust’s mission to uplift Namibian communities. Since its founding in 2017, the trust has supported various projects aimed at empowering communities and creating sustainable impact.

The heart frames, modelled after the heart in the Gondwana Care Trust logo, symbolise love, unity and Gondwana Collection’s commitment to giving back.
