Loeb starts bid for fourth rally title

PARIS – Frenchman Sebastien Loeb began his quest for a record-equalling fourth consecutive world title in the best possible manner on Sunday, by driving his Citroën to a season-opening victory at the Monte Carlo Rally.

The 32-year-old Loeb, who won the title in a works Citroën in 2004 and 2005 before defending it last year in a privately entered Citroën Xsara, is hoping to become the third driver with four crowns after Juha Kankkunen and Tommi Makinen. Nampa-ReutersNampa-Reuters
