Local Sport Briefs Footballer loses leg after injury

OSHAKATI – Jonas Slogan Mateus, one of the few talented players the Oshana Region football league of the Namibian Football Association (NFA) could produce, has had one of his legs amputated recently.

The co-ordinator of the NFA in the Oshana Region, Sam Nekwaya, told Nampa that doctors at Oshakati State Hospital amputated Mateus’s leg, which was injured in a league match towards the end of last year.
