NAMIBIAN FASHION WHIZZ and rapper Karishma Isaacs has not only been making waves in the music industry, but has also been causing quite a stir with her innovative clothing brand, Karnation Clothing.
Since its inception in 2018, Karnation Clothing has been offering a unique blend of global trends with a distinct Namibian twist.
The story of Karnation Clothing’s genesis is as intriguing as its stylish creations.
Born out of the creative process of designing outfits for one of Karishma’s music videos, the brand quickly grew from a seed of inspiration into a fully fledged clothing line.
The driving force behind Karnation Clothing was the desire to bring the latest Western fashion trends to Namibia, while still infusing some local essence, Isaacs says.
This aspiration has led to a collection of big, comfortable and versatile pieces of clothing.
“The clothing line not only focuses on fashion, but also embraces the entertainment industry. I have collaborated with artists and influencers such as Bobby WVDK, Sendry, Mega and KP Illest. I would like to pave the way for Karnation to establish itself as a go-to brand for artists looking to don iconic and exclusive outfits,” she says.
Karnation Clothing has not only provided an avenue for artists to feel like celebrities, but also granted them access to outfits that exude an international flair, she says.
“The best collection I’m working on is for the MTC Windhoek Fashion Week this year,” Isaacs says.
Amid her impressive line-up, the recent ‘Browns’ collection stands out as a fan-favourite, she says.
Karnation Clothing is at the forefront of Namibia’s evolving fashion landscape. With an increasing number of local designers crafting fresh and trendy garments, there’s been a noticeable shift towards supporting homegrown fashion brands. – unWrap.online
