NEW DELHI – Former Indian cricket all-rounder Eknath Solkar (57), known best for his electric catches and extraordinary fielding, has died after a heart attack.

The left-handed Solkar played in the lower order for the national team between 1969 and 1977 in 27 tests, totalling 1 068 runs in 48 innings, averaging 25,42 runs.
