Leaders Don’t Listen

Leaders Don’t Listen

PLEASE give me a space in your newspaper to air my opinion about the Bill in Parliament about our former President who is apparently going to be called “the father of the Namibian people” or “the father of the nation”.

I had my doubts about this title from the first time I heard about it, but then, as a nation there is nothing that people who feel the way I feel can do to stop the Bill from being implemented. I know that there are a lot of people in this country who are not in favour of this bill, but it won’t make a difference since our leaders don’t care about how the Namibian people feel. Why don’t our leaders do a survey about this issue? So they can find out exactly how the people feel instead of ignoring what the Opposition are saying. Please leaders don’t make a mistake by ignoring the voices of the nation.Lea Nangula Via e-mailI know that there are a lot of people in this country who are not in favour of this bill, but it won’t make a difference since our leaders don’t care about how the Namibian people feel. Why don’t our leaders do a survey about this issue?
